Lost Maples State Natural Area
North of Vanderpool - a beautiful park famous for
its bigtooth maples. Picnic areas, restroom, hiking trails along the Sabinal river.
Most visitors come in the late fall, when fall colors are just breath-taking.
Birdwatchers like the park because many bird species are seen there.
$5 /person fee, call 830 966 3413 for info.

Bandera City Park
Located along the Medina River, in downtown Bandera,
the Cypress trees invite you to walk and rest or have your picnic.
Admission free during the week, $3 weekend.

Medina Lake County Park
At the end of Park Rd. 37 and Medina Lake, you will find a public boat ramp on the lake.
Park is open dawn till dusk
admission $10 a day, including restrooms / picnic tables.

Hill Country State Natural Area
5400 acres for equestrian use with over 20 miles of mixed terrain trails
open to horses, hikers, bicyclists and backpackers.
Open March 1 to Oct. 31.
