our directory Education lectures Patient Earth Updated conservation education on water issues is needed. Conservation education about geology explains how Germany is affected by several mountain ranges who were pushed up by the African tectonic plate. German Nature Conservation education preserves Nature internationally providing updated science based facts, advice on global issues, on how to keep Nature beautiful

Billions of years earth balanced a natural process of moving plates. Mountains came up and erosion took them down again. Volcanoes rise and destroy land, build new islands. The science of geology explain how fragile Earth's balance is. Many schools teach not much about continental plates movements, but Geography and Geology knowledge is key to understand life on Earth, to see environmental problems. Spain's geology is very interesting, Africa pushing against Spain building mountains. Geological news of China. Since India is bumping into Asia, and the Himalayan s were pushed up and folded, people know about the geological forces on Earth. Environmental news to protect air + water + soil + food. Our-research published in these news helps to keep Bandera's Nature beautiful + to secure our future!

How to keep Earth balanced + how to secure our future!
Earth is normally in a balance
We learned that humans can mess up this balance.
BSB earthquake news + facts web-page
WHY do we offer you Earthquake News + facts?
When you look through all the information, you will see, that something has changed.
Think back 20 years ago, compare the environmental news at this time:
BSB exists to offer affordable Conservation education
To see the big picture: Why Nature conservation?
Air pollution is changing Earth's climate!
Man is able to change earthquake patterns!
To understand why Nature Conservation is essential for human survival,
we need to collect the facts, we need to stay updated with environmental news, we need to think how all things are connected, need each other to let the whole system function!
Doing so we can see the 'big picture', realizing that everyone should be a Nature Conservationist!
BSB conservation education online: earth's surface consists of many continental and oceanic plates also called tectonic plates moving all the time causing earthquakes
Earth's surface consists of many continental and oceanic plates moving all the time causing earthquakes
1 magnitude more means a ~30 times higher energy!!

There are so many earthquakes now, that we cannot keep up with all the new information. Please visit volcanodiscovery.com/news to read the newest outbreaks and lava flows

2012-04-11 - Magnitude 8.6 earthquake shook the seafloor west of the Indonesian island of Sumatra, largest strike-slip earthquake ever.
The quake moved along 4 fault lines, what is very rare. Two parts of the Earth's crust were sliding past each other horizontally.
With a dense network of seismometers in Japan and Europe the slip-sliding faults deep beneath the Indian Ocean could be tracked.
The quake first proceeded along three connected faults. It started on a northwest-southeast fault, then turned almost 90 degrees to a northeast-southwest fault. This was followed by another 90-degree turn to another northwest-southeast fault.
Finally, the fourth rupture stage involved jumping northward onto a separate, but parallel, northwest-southeast fault. Two hours later, an 8.2-magnitude aftershock started on the south end of the third northwest-southeast fault, and also jumped onto a perpendicular fault.
Water deep in the Earth altered rock in the Earth's mantle layer along the faults creating friction, deep down 15 miles = 25 km.
The Sumatra earthquake faults are in a diffuse deformation zone where the giant India-Australia oceanic plate is cleaving in two. A huge oceanic plate gets broken apart, not often seen by scientists.

BSB Conservation education online Nature news: climate change is changing earth quake patterns - pollution leads to warmer temperatures, melting ice. Without Nature conservation earthquake pattern will continue to change

An oceanic plate was pushed
30 feet beneath a continental plate.
Japan's government fears that over 12 thousand people are dead!

environmental news: strong fast tsunami waves raced over the Pacific ocean endangering humans and wildlife
Tsunami killed thousands, catastrophic damage to
northern Japan,
many Pacific ocean
harbors got damaged too.

Continental plates still moving - many aftershocks and new quakes occur.
The tectonic plate movement has moved Japan closer to the US, and it has shifted Earth's axis.
Japan's eastern coastline sunk about 2 feet allowing the tsunami to crash in further.

Nature conservation is a high priority in Europe. Pollution from electricity production is reduced by air filters, smoke washers, and many campaigns to conserve energy, better house insulation. Science on air pollution offers many solutions. Air conservation is important. Earth maps show that water pollution endangers Earth's drinking water, land pollution endangers human food supply - get a glimpse of other countries with earth maps. Live a sustainable life
See many maps of Earth

Water expands when it gets warmer = ice is melting when it gets warmer.
Changing pressure on Earth's plates changes earthquake patterns and intensity:

Earthquakes + eruptions often kill people!
1 magnitude more means a ~30 times higher energy!!
Earth quake in Christchurch, New Zealand at least 177 people die
6.8 magnitude earth quake in Chile. Chile was lifted up several feet during its earth quake that had killed over 800 humans. Imagine, the power of the earthquake in Chile can be measured in a change in the length of the day!

According to NASA scientists, the quake shifted the axis of the earth by about 3 inches = 7.5 cm.
7.5-magnitude quake hits off Indonesian island +
a volcano in western Indonesia erupted 31,000 people fled first eruption in 400 years
Strong earth quake hit Indonesia - giant Sea Volcano in Indonesia
Imagine a volcano under water, over 11,500 feet tall!
It is of Earth's largest underwater volcanoes.
earthquakes cost billions and many living creatures are killed - nature conservation is the only answer to violent weather, climate change, floods, earthquakes caused by changed pressure on tectonic plates, fault lines are moving

Mexico environmental problems include not enough affordable nature conservation education to expand food production - Spain offers to little conservation education courses - - Indonesia cuts down a lot of tree. Missing nature conservation education leads to deforestation, water contamination, erosion problems because of deforestation, endangering marine life and humans - China has a growing population, more energy, more food, nature conservation education is very low on the to do list - German schools offer conservation education, but a lot of people are too busy to learn new things
