We are sure you heard about all these problems with Salmonella in and on eggs? These eggs were produced in an egg factory in Iowa, where millions of chicken are held in huge barns. The company was often penalized for wrong doing. The feces from the chicken are stored in huge open pools, close to the living quarters of many migrant workers. Salmonella factsA) Salmonella are bacterianamed 1885 by T. Smith after his director D.E.Salmon B) Salmonella can cause diseases C) Salmonella can live on fruits, vegetables, uncooked or undercooked meats and eggs on egg shells and even in water D) Salmonella can be killed with Antibiotics What can you do to avoid Salmonella infection? 1) Wash your hands after touching all the food mentioned above 2) Avoid to eat raw meat, raw eggs In the moment we have no vaccine for salmonellosis |

The perfect function of the body’s immune system is very important. The immune system plays one of the most important roles in the body when it comes to keeping us healthy. The immune system is a network of cells, tissues and organs that work together to defend the body against attacks by ‘foreign’ invaders - as bacteria, parasites and fungi—that can cause infections. The human body provides an wonderful habitat for many microbes, so the immune system is always busy to keep them out, to find microbes and destroy them. We are still learning how the body launches attacks that destroy invading microbes, infected cells and tumors while ignoring healthy tissues. Food with enough vitamins, helps the immune system to function. Studies show that vitamin D may play a big part in activating the immune system. Corn syrup can make you obese! Princeton University published a great study. Scientists wanted to know if different sweeteners have different influence on the human body. High-fructose corn syrup intake leads to significantly more weight than the use of table sugar, no matter of the caloric intake. More body fat, stored on the waste line and a rise in triglycerites. Our advice: Check your food, read the labels. High-fructose corn syrup is different, can lead to weight gain and obesity. We are sure you heard about Antioxidants? Antioxidants are very important? They counter free radicals—highly unstable molecules that can damage cells. Free radicals are formed during oxidation, one of the body’s natural processes. Free radicals are produced when the body breaks down foods for use or storage. They are also produced when the body is exposed to tobacco smoke, radiation and environmental contaminants as oil fumes or man made chemicals. Free radicals can cause damage, known as oxidative stress. Many diseases are started by stress. Antioxidant molecules fight oxidative stress leading to less damage. The body can produce its own antioxidants and also obtain them from food. Antioxidants are abundant in vegetables and fruits and are also found in grain cereals, teas, legumes and nuts. Examples of antioxidants include anthocyanins, beta-carotene, catechins, flavonoids, lipoic acid, lutein, lycopene, selenium and vitamins C and E. Congress has passed comprehensive health care reform. Most Americans will be guaranteed high quality, affordable health care coverage. Arbitrary premium hikes, insurance cancellations, and discrimination against pre-existing conditions will now be gone. Because of the bill the cost of care should be reduced - new job creation, removing over a trillion dollars of debt from the backs of the next generation. Bacterial “Signatures” stay on people's Keyboards Scientists have found that bacterial signatures from users stay quite a while on computer keyboards and mice. When the testing is prepared for easy use it can help law enforcement in identifying suspects. Skin bacteria left behind on keyboards and computer mice provide the identify the objects’ users. Avoid breathing in oil gases, diesel gases, gasoline gases. All these chemical evaporation gases harm your health! There are more than 80,000 man-made chemicals in use in the U.S. But only about 200 have been required to be tested for safety. Earth's oceans are contaminated with huge numbers of man made chemicals. BPA used in plastics in one of them, PCB another one. A blood test of every American alive today, including newborn babies, shows many man-made chemicals flowing through our blood. 38 different man-made chemicals are found in breast milk. Mercury - a poison that kills - is found in all fish in America. Read more about how Mercury is produced, click on the "Coal burning" button. We work hard to strengthen America's toxic chemicals standards. When you join us, our voice gets stronger! One of the nation’s most widely used herbicides has been found to exceed federal safety limits in drinking water in four states, but water customers have not been told and the EPA protection Agency has not published the results. An analysis found that yearly average levels of Atrazine in drinking water violated the federal standard at least ten times in communities in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Kansas, all states where farmers rely heavily on the herbicide. Some states do not check at all. More than 40 water systems showed spikes in Atrazine levels that normally would have triggered automatic notification of customers. In none of those cases were residents alerted. In interviews, EPA officials did not dispute the data but said they do not consider atrazine a health hazard??? Atrazine is banned in Germany for 19 years, because it has killed fish and is causing birth defects with under-developed heart and organs. So, if you are pregnant or have a weak immune system, check your water quality - ask your water board. --------------------------------------------- What has our corn-ethanol production to do with Antibiotics in our meat? 1/3 of the corn that goes into ethanol will be 'distillers grains'. Finding a high-value use for this byproduct is necessary to the corn ethanol project. The fuel’s energy balance is not very good - corn-ethanol production delivers little net energy compared to how much is consumed producing it. What happens to the byproduct: It is used as animal feed —as a replacement for corn in the rations of livestock. As ethanol production boomed starting in 2007, distillers grains flowed into cow feedlots. Distillers grains use might have been contributing to a nasty spate of E. Coli 0157 in beef - how - why? The ethanol process relies on antibiotics to control the fermentation process—and distillers grains carry heavy traces of them into feedlot rations. FDA has tested distillers grains samples and found them to contain significant levels of antibiotics. Ethanol producers use penicillin and popular antibiotic. What happens when you feed a cow with antibiotics? What happens when a human takes in antibiotics with food? Why should we look for mercury in our food? Can a child tolerate more or less chemicals? What chemicals are in many drinking water supplies? Too much weight is a big health problem! As a rule of thumbs: When you eat more than 2000 calories a day you will gain weight..
