Mulching is one of the simplest and most beneficial practices you can use on your property.
There are different kind of mulches: organic or inorganic

Benefits of mulches:

Erosion control
Compaction reduction
Moisture Conservation
Protecting of over heating
Weed protection
Nice to walk on, good smell

Our Juniper mulch also improves the pH of our caliche soils.
Juniper mulch has a pH of 5 while our 'soils" of far above pH 8.
Most plants do not like extremes, so spreading a thin layer of juniper mulch, reduces the pH of our alkaline soil and
helps native plants to grow.

When our mulch slowly decomposes, it provides organic matter. Roots can grow better, more water can be stored and slowly released in the ground, and it helps earthworms and other beneficial soil organisms to balance our environment.
