Sustainability to keep our Environment aliveA fair share for all of us |
We offer facts + information, helping to save money, to stay healthy, to have a better life! |
Definition of SustainabilityDefinition: sustainable life style |
Sustainability means: "Meeting the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs." |
Sustainability can be achieved with the following solutions:a) Reducing consumption of resources -such as water and energy. b) Better building practices to reduce energy waste c) More fuel efficient engines in cars + trucks, generators, chain saws, lawn mowers etc. d) Increasing recycling - using recycled materials e) Protection of forests all over Earth f) Protection of soil all over Earth g) Living a sustainable life style |
![]() A fair share for both of them! We should not wait for laws and regulations Every person can make a difference |
We need to take a bigger-picture approach to environmental sustainability,
Sustainability can provide the best for people and the environment both now and in the indefinite future. Sustainable living will give our children a better chance, a better life! Close to all scientists on Earth agree that life on Earth has already changed - and not to the better. There are many possibilities to reduce the impact on all living beings: |
Look at the chart:![]() EbA = ecosystem-based Adaptation is a promising approach: 1) Sustainable managing 2) Sustainable development 3) Conserving and restoring ecosystems 4) Reduce - better STOP deforestation 5) Conserve biodiversity 6) Land restoration / conservation 7) Stop overgrazing 8) Stop destroying riparian areas to avoid floods ![]() |
This would give people more time to adapt to climate change. In the US the original term was "sustainable development," a term adopted by the Agenda 21 program of the United Nations. + Sustainability + is nowadays used as an umbrella term to measure, to calculate the outcome all of human activity. How can over 7.5 billion live without destroying the future of our children? A sustainable life style is the answer! We have to start with our cities, our towns! A city, a town can be sustainable! Science gave us many answers and resolutions! Riparian areas are badly damaged by developers and land owners! Only a few people are moving in the right direction. Old-fashioned, narrow minded thoughts lead to less sustainability - work with us, help us to inform these people! The Webster dictionary definition is: ".. designating of, or characterized by a practice that sustains a given condition, as economic growth or a human population, without destroying or depleting natural resources, polluting the environment, without harming our children..." Definition of the word sustainability: "to be able to maintain a certain process or way of life" One can use it regarding biological and human systems. Ecologically, sustainability can be defined as the ability of an ecosystem to maintain ecological processes, functions, biodiversity and productivity into the future. Sustainability has become a complex term that can be applied to almost every facet of life on Earth, particularly the many different levels of biological organization, such as: wetlands prairies and forests and is expressed in Human organization concepts, such as: Eco-villages, Eco-municipalities, sustainable cities, and human activities and disciplines, such as: sustainable agriculture, sustainable architecture and renewable energy. For humans to live sustainable, the Earth's resources must be used at a rate at which they can be replenished. Our studies and research look into the following issues: A) What are the requirements and feasibility of developing truly renewable energy sources? B) How can we consider the role of technology in finding solutions to the problem of sustainability? C) How can population growth meet sustainable drinking water needs? Technology alone will not supply all the answers. Examples will include re-engineering: 1) the water cycle that humans practice 2) the energy cycle that humans practice 3) the transportation cycle How can we work on sustainability and have a healthy prosperity across our own society, as well as across the globe? |
![]() We protect resources, so future generations can have natural resources too We give advice We offer education! Without the food from Earth's oceans billions of humans will die.. |
"Give me a lever long enough, and a place to stand,
and I can move the Earth." That's what Archimedes said. Many environmentalists are unable to move the Earth into sustainability because they are pushing on low leverage points! |
"Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is insane." That wise sentence is from our favorite scientist: Albert Einstein Bear Springs Blossom Nature Conservation members refuse to do this repetition of false doing! We agree with Archimedes and ask: "Give us the right lever! The more members we have the stronger is our lever!" Work with us and we will move Earth population to more sustainability, to a safer future for the next generation. We invite you to explore how to do this! Bear Springs Blossom Nature Conservation gives you the knowledge and understanding. We offer distant learning, we give advice. One way to reduce human impact is to use renewable energy. We show and explain renewable energy to YOU how to use Solar energy - free energy from our sun and we explain HOW - WHY - WHAT to do. The use of sun power is sustainable for millions of years. We work hard to create a toxin free future with safer alternatives to hazardous chemicals. We campaign for sustainable agriculture, informing politicians, farmers, ranchers, talking to kids and adults. Earth needs biodiversity = Humans need biodiversity to survive! Bear Springs Blossom Nature Conservation works hard to protect biodiversity. Burning fossil fuel changes our climate and is not sustainable. It took millions of years to produce oil, coal, gas but humans burn fossil fuels within a few generations! The more you know the more we can do! Emissions reductions and increases in the use of energy-efficient technologies are strongly needed. |
![]() Look at the chart. In a decade the prices have more than doubled Did your salary go up 250% in the last decade? It will make it difficult for many to provide food to their families, leading to social problems, insecurity. With a rising world population, using food for cars instead of providing food for humans, is not sustainable and not ethical! |
![]() Enough healthy drinkable water, good breathable air, healthy food, and enough natural resources! Let's take care of Earth, save it for the next generation! |
Please find below the definition of Sustainable development. It is a pattern of resource use that aims to meet human needs while preserving the environment. These needs shouldn't be met not now, but in the indefinite future. Sustainable development meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Sustainable development ties together concern for the carrying capacity of natural systems with the social challenges facing humanity. As early as the 1970s "sustainability" was employed to describe an economy "in equilibrium with basic ecological support systems". Ecologists have pointed to the limits of growth and presented the alternative of a steady state economy in order to address environmental concerns. The field of sustainable development can be conceptually broken into three constituent parts: environmental sustainability economic sustainability and socio-political sustainability. |
