How to
Keep Earth Beautiful
hurricane are caused by warm ocean and earth temperatures resulting in strong uplifting winds - with more sustainability in our life style we could lower the risk of hurricanes, floods, droughts and polluted drinking water keep earth beautiful, lower earth temperatures, educate people how to live a more sustainable life style, how to lower the co2 carbon dioxide levels in Earth atmosphere floods are caused by weather systems that get fed by warm oceans and warm land, the air is lifted up, the air temperature gets lower and the air cannot hold the moisture anymore - it rains - the amount of fossil fuels we are burning today is not sustainable

Close to all scientists on Earth agree that climate change has already started.
There are different approaches to reduce the impact on all living beings. EbA = ecosystem-based Adaptation is a promising approach:
Sustainable managing
Sustainable development
Conserving and restoring ecosystems
This would allow people to adapt to climate change. This approach builds on traditional knowledge, generates a range of social, economic and cultural benefits and helps to conserve biodiversity.

Our Definition of Sustainability
Sustainability can provide the best for people and the environment both now and in the indefinite future.

Sustainability is: "Meeting the needs of the present generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs."

In the US the original term was "sustainable development," a term adopted by the Agenda 21 program of the United Nations.

* Sustainability * is nowadays used as an umbrella term to measure, to calculate the outcome all of human activity.

Can We Ever Make Our Towns Sustainable?

There are many answers to this question.
In the moment we are not moving in this direction.

So, what's stopping us?
There are various perspectives on sustainability

How do we define the word sustainability?
This word means very different things to different people -
but it is a pressing issue!

The Webster dictionary definition is:

".. designating of, or characterized by a practice that sustains a given condition, as economic growth or a human population,
without destroying or
depleting natural resources,
polluting the environment, etc ..."

Wikipedia describes sustainability as:
".. Sustainability is the capacity of maintaining a certain process or state.
It is now most frequently used in connection with biological and human systems.
In an ecological context,
sustainability can be defined as the
ability of an ecosystem
to maintain ecological processes, functions, biodiversity and productivity into the future.

Sustainability has become a complex term
that can be applied to almost every facet of life on Earth, particularly the many different levels of biological organization,
such as:
wetlands
prairies and forests
and is expressed in
Human organization concepts,
such as:
eco-villages, eco-municipalities, sustainable cities,
and human activities and disciplines,
such as:
sustainable agriculture, sustainable architecture
and renewable energy.

For humans to live sustainable,
the Earth's resources must be used at a rate
at which they can be replenished.

Our studies and research look into the following issues:
What are the requirements and feasibility of developing truly
renewable energy sources?

How can we consider the role of technology in finding solutions to the
problem of sustainability?

Technology alone will not supply all the answers.

Examples will include re-engineering
the water cycle that humans practice
the energy cycle that humans practice
the transportation cycle
How can we work on sustainability and
have a healthy prosperity across our own society,
as well as across the globe?

millions of humans will die

"Give me a lever long enough,
and a place to stand,
and I can move the Earth."
That's was Archimedes said.

Many environmentalists are unable
to move the Earth
into sustainability because they are pushing
on low leverage points.

"Doing the same thing
over and over again and
expecting different results is insane."
That wise sentence is from our
favorite scientist:
Albert Einstein

Bear Springs Blossom Nature Conservation
refuses to do this repetition of false doing
We agree with Archimedes
and ask our members:
"Give us the right lever!"
and we will move Earth population to
more sustainability, to a safer future for
the next generation.

We invite you to explore how to do this!
Bear Springs Blossom Nature Conservation
gives you the knowledge and understanding.
We offer distant learning, we give advice.

One way to reduce human impact is
to use renewable energy.
We show and explain renewable energy to YOU
how to use Solar energy - free energy from our sun
and we explain HOW - WHY - WHAT to do.
The use of sun power is sustainable
for millions of years.
We work hard to create a toxin free future
with safer alternatives to hazardous chemicals.

We campaign for sustainable agriculture
(we inform politicians, farmers, ranchers,
talk to kids and adults) Earth needs biodiversity
Humans need biodiversity to survive!
Bear Springs Blossom Nature Conservation
works hard to protect biodiversity.

Burning fossil fuel changes our climate
and is not sustainable.
(It took millions of years
to produce oil, coal, gas
but we burn fossil fuels
within a few generations
The more you know the more we can do!
Emissions reductions and increases in the
use of energy-efficient technologies are
strongly needed.

We are an international non-profit organization.
We all work without a salary. Every cent of your
membership dues works to fight climate change!

Please find below the definition of
Sustainable development
It is a pattern of resource use that aims
to meet human needs while preserving
the environment.
These needs shouldn't be met not now,
but in the indefinite future.
Sustainable development meets the needs of the
present without compromising the ability of
future generations to meet their own needs.
Sustainable development ties together concern
for the carrying capacity of natural systems
with the social challenges facing humanity.
As early as the 1970s "sustainability" was employed
to describe an economy
"in equilibrium with basic ecological support systems"
Ecologists have pointed to the “limits of growth”
and presented the alternative of a “steady state economy”
in order to address environmental concerns.
The field of sustainable development can be
conceptually broken into three constituent parts:
environmental sustainability
economic sustainability and
ocio-political sustainability.
