USE Wind Power!
We use, show and explain wind energy!
We built a Texas-stil Windmill in 2001
IT'S WORKING ALL THE TIME and
lowers our electricity bill very much!
DO THE SAME:
Create clean energy
Make a difference in Climate Change!
We will show you how it works and how YOU can do it
Wind - a constant resource that is self-renewing and clean.
- What makes wind blow around the Earth? How is the energy from the Sun changed into moving air?
-
Windmills have been used around the world for centuries. Modern windmills are very high-tech. How much are they really being used to generate power? How much power can they generate? How many windmills would it take to power a whole city?
- Windmills are often grouped together on large areas of land or ocean called "wind farms." Where in the world are some of these located? (Hint: Find out where the winds blow strongest and longest, all through the year.) Who takes care of the windmills on the wind farms?
- It would be interesting to take a tour inside one of the modern windmills, some of which are as big as an airliner, complete with seats and cockpit.
Look at our small Whisper H80 - it produces 1000 watts at 22 miles wind.
The Environmental Benefits include minimal pollutants such as carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and lead in comparison to those produced in the creation of energy through fossil fuels.
Stimulating Our Hobbled Economy. Importing fossil fuels sends over $400 billion dollars outside of our country. Renewable energy resources are developed at home. Furthering their development will keep billions of dollars here, creating more jobs for Americans.
Our Children's Future depends on the technological advancements of these energy sources. Two things we know for certain are that oil won't last forever and the sun will.
Our National Security is strengthened as our dependency for foreign oil is decreased. By moving toward renewable energies, we naturally shift toward freedom from unstable ground.
